After the launch of Maserati Levante, the first SUV of the company, last spring, the Italians intends to launch another SUV, but smaller, by 2020.

The announcement came from Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat Chrysler Group, who hopes that the new SUV will help Maserati to sell between 70.000 and 80.000 units each year.

In the first 9(nine) months of 2017, Maserati sales have reached 36.000 units. Marchionne also trusts that launching the younger brother for Levante will translate in an increase of their annual revenues within one billion Euros.

The next SUV Maserati will be built on the same platform as Alfa Romeo Stelvio. With this launch, the Italians intend to compete, among others, with Porsche Macan, the smaller version of the Cayenne SUV.
