The Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo Looks Like a Dream Come True
Porsche has recently unveiled its latest addition to the impressive Taycan family, a sportier version called “Sport Turismo”. The car was revealed last November in GTS form with powertrain options similar to those of other Porsche models – but now we know exactly when it will be available for order!
In a world where sports cars are all the rage, it’s refreshing to see Porsche offer more than just their famous 911s. The Taycan range now includes three different body styles: the regular version, the mighty CROSS Turismo and finally… the newest addition, this sporty yet very elegant looking car called Sport Turismo.
The brand new Taycan Sport Turismo is basically a Cross Turismo built for the road, shedding its plastic trim all around and replacing it with sleek aluminum panels and a lower ride stance.
The luxury car features several powertrain options that are complemented by different wheels as well as extra bits & pieces on top of stunning bodykit like a blacked-out treatment or cool carbon inserts; each variant of the Taycan Sport Turismo has their own unique style to make sure you stand out no matter where life takes your ride!
All Sport Turismos keep their estate-like 5-door hatchback silhouette, which means they have a very spacious cabin.
Inside you’ll find an increased headroom space and more leg room with +9 mm (0 4 inch) added to what was already present before in both front seats as well as 45 millimeters increase behind the backseats!
The luggage space in the new Porsche Taycan is larger than that of most other cars. It can hold up to 1,212 lt depending on how many seats are folded and what kind of equipment you have, which swells slightly less to 446 lt with the seats up.
The dashboard is shared with the standard Taycan, so it retains its multi-screen layout and latest version of PCM infotainment system. Plus, the improved Voice Pilot systems will make navigation and driving around easier than ever before!
What’s more, the optional Remote Park Assist system will allow the driver to enter and leave a parking space without even entering their vehicle. All variants besides the base model feature Adaptive Air Suspension, that’s matched by Porsche’s Active suspension Management.
The brand new Sport Turismo offers the same powertrain options as its more humble counterpart. This means that the base model is going to be rear-wheel drive and all other versions of the car will be all wheel driven.
The Taycan is a luxurious, all-electric vehicle that can be outfitted with either the standard 79.2 kWh battery or the powerful 93.4 kWh Performance Battery Plus for more power and an increased range of up to 498 km or 309 miles.
The standard power output for the Taycan is 322hp or 376hp with the Sport Turismo specification. The 4S models have over 100 extra horsepower over their “smaller” siblings, with 429 hp and 483 hp respectively, the GTS versions have 510 hp to play, while the powerful Turbo and Turbo S options will get 617 hp.
Of course, the new Turbo S is the most powerful and fastest model in their line up, and it even comes with overboost mode that can help it reach up to 751hp. Thanks to this boost, the car blasts from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 2.8 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 260 km/h or 162 mph.
The Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo will hit the market in February 2022, starting with the GTS variant in Europe, followed by the other versions in March.
