The most luxurious SUV ever : Maybach GLS600
The 2021 Mercedes- Maybach GLS600 is Mercedes’ most luxurious SUV meant for those who need more luxury than a standard Mercedes-Benz
It will be the first SUV in the Maybach lineup. This jewel will be going into automobile markets from April 2021 and starts out at an eye-watering $161,550 making it competitive with its ultra-luxury peers such as the Aston Martin DBX and the Bentley Bentayga. The Mercedes-Maybach GLS will be powered with an electrified twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine.
Dimensions
The 2021 Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 measures 5205mm long, 1838mm tall, and 2030mm wide (2157mm including the mirrors) and it has 520L of luggage space.
However, this is the standard Maybach GLS600, which offers heating, ventilation, power adjustability, and a massage function for both the front and outboard rear seats. The standard GLS’ third row is gone and the back seats are moved rearward for improved legroom.
Even getting in is highly luxurious. When the doors open, the vehicle lowers slightly and an illuminated running board slides out.
The Maybach uses a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine albeit with 410kW of power and 730Nm of torque. That engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission which helps bring this SUV to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds. There’s an additional 16kW and 250Nm temporarily available courtesy of the 48V mild-hybrid system.
