Porsche Wins Its Fight to Prevent Increase in London Congestion Charge
Six-figure donation to youth charity after court victory
Stuttgart/London, 7/7/2008 -- Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, and its sales subsidiary Porsche Cars Great Britain, won their fight against the increase in the London congestion charge. The signature of a consent order by an administrative court in London has finally swept the plans of the former Mayor, Ken Livingstone, to introduce an unfair and disproportionate daily charge of £25 per driver in central London off the table. The agreement also included the award of legal costs. Porsche will donate these costs, expected to be a six-figure sum, to the British youth charity Skidz.

Dr. Wolfgang Lindheim appointed as Chief Financial Officer
Stuttgart, 6/27/2008 -- The rapid development of Porsche Consulting GmbH, Bietigheim-Bissingen, calls for an expansion of management capacities. For this reason, the board of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, has appointed Dr. Wolfgang Lindheim (47) as Chief Financial Officer of the subsidiary. From August 1, 2008, Dr. Lindheim will take responsibility for the departments of Finance, Controlling, Human Resource and IT.
At the same time, Eberhard Weiblen (44), who up till now was the sole Director of Porsche Consulting, will be appointed as Chairman of the Executive Board. In future, he will be responsible for the consultancy business, the strategic development and the marketing of the Porsche subsidiary.

This successful hatching is regarded as a sensation in expert circles.

Franz Blank has died
Stuttgart, 5/29/2008 -- Franz Blank, for many years the Chairman of the Works Council and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, died on May 24, 2008 at the age of 82. Blank, who was born on September 4, 1925 in Horb, joined Porsche in 1953 as a fitter. He was soon elected as Chairman of the Porsche Works Council in 1955. He continued to hold this position until May 22, 1987.

Stuttgart, 4/18/2008 -- Changeover in the Press Department of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG: on June 1, 2008, Hans-Gerd Bode (47) will be taking over as Head of the Product and Technical Communications Department from Stefan Marschall (51), who is leaving the enterprise at his own request, to set up in business as an independent PR consultant.
Bode is coming to Porsche from Volkswagen AG, where he had been Head of Brand and Product Communication since 2001. When working for the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer he will be cooperating closely with Eckhard Eybl (54), who has been looking after the product press since May 2007, and will be reporting to Bode in this capacity.

Commissioning of Porsche’s New Spare Parts Warehouse in Sachsenheim
First part of building completed
Stuttgart, 4/15/2008 -- Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is currently commissioning the first stage of the new spare parts center in the industrial park of Eichwald, Sachsenheim. The warehouse, which has an area of 40,000 square meters, took less than one year to build and cost 28 million Euros.
The new spare parts warehouse is characterized by the transparent structure of the building, which creates a pleasant working environment with plenty of light in the storage area. The building materials used meet the latest environmental standards. A large proportion of the building’s energy and space heating requirement is covered by an environmentally friendly combined heat and power (CHP) plant.

New Porsche Cayenne remains a favorite
3/3/2008, Stuttgart -- In February 2008, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, held its own in the USA and Canada in a very difficult market environment. At 1,841 vehicles, the number of deliveries to customers in North America lay eleven per cent below last year’s equivalent figures. The new Porsche Cayenne, with its lower-consumption engines, was particularly successful. Since the second Cayenne generation was launched on the market one year ago, the sporting all-terrain vehicle has enjoyed great popularity with customers.
Porsche to Start Production of 911 Again on Monday, March 3
Shortfall of about 800 vehicles can be made good
2/29/2008, Stuttgart -- Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, will be starting production of the 911 series again next Monday, March 3, at the main factory in Zuffenhausen. Production was stopped last Monday following a deflagration that occurred in the paint shop, in which a PVC fusion oven was badly damaged. The material damage, amounting to several hundred thousand Euros, is largely covered by insurance.
The causes of the accident have now been identified. External experts have ascertained that the gas escape was due to a technical defect. An examination of the other ovens has shown that they are in perfect working order and fully functional.
