Company to Build New Plant in Zhengzhou

BEIJING, May 28, 2008 – Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. (DFL), Nissan’s local partner in China, today announced it’s 2008 to 2012 mid-term business plan for China focused on building a stronger market position and increased global competitiveness.

The ambitious five-year plan, named Plan 13 ("one cubed"), expands on the company’s previous business blueprint, Plan 23 ("two cubed"), under which the company doubled sales volume between 2003 and 2007.

Plan 13 has the following objectives represented by three “1”s:

1. Significant Growth
Further business expansion targeting sales of 1 million vehicles and revenue of RMB 100 billion (USD: 14.5 billion) by 2012

Nissan Reports Production, Sales and Export Results for April 2008

TOKYO, May 27, 2008 – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced production, sales and export figures for April 2008.

1. Production

Nissan’s global production in April increased 23.9% year-on-year to 296,760 units, marking an all-time record for the month of April.

Export models Rogue, Murano and Infiniti G sedan and coupe boosted domestic production to 98,873 units, exceeding the previous year by 42.3%.

Overseas production grew 16.3% year-on-year to 197,887 units, making a record production month for plants worldwide.

In the U.S., production rose 0.8% year-on-year to 54,497 units.

In Mexico, production increased 11.4% to 40,565 units compared to the year prior.

Production in the U.K. grew 38.0% year-on-year to 37,703 units.

One ton of carbon credits for every March Collet sold

TOKYO, May 27, 2008 – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today became the first automaker in Japan to introduce a carbon offset program linked to the sale of a vehicle. For every March Collet sold, Nissan will pledge one ton of carbon credits*1 under Carbon Offset Japan, an environmental non-profit organization abiding by the principals of the Kyoto Protocol*2.

Ashok Leyland, Nissan Sign 3 LCV JVs

CHENNAI (May 26, 2008) - Hinduja Group flagship Ashok Leyland and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today announced the legal formation of the three JV companies for the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) business in India for vehicle manufacturing, powertrain manufacturing and technology development. This follows the signing of the Master Co-Operation Agreement between the two companies in October 2007.

The shareholding structures of the three joint ventures are as under:

* Ashok Leyland Nissan Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., the vehicle manufacturing company will be owned 51% by Ashok Leyland and 49% by Nissan;

Nissan Mexicana Announces Senior Management, Organizational Changes

MEXICO CITY, México, 05.23.2008 -- Effective July 1, Nissan Mexicana (NMEX) will make senior management and organizational changes to better integrate NMEX’s growing manufacturing and allied operations into Nissan’s regional operations.

Shoichi Miyatani, president and general director, NMEX, will return to Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. (NML) as corporate vice president, General Overseas Markets (GOM), where his primary focus will be Latin America. Growth in the GOM region is one of the breakthroughs of Nissan GT 2012, where Mr. Miyatani will play an important role.

12.0 billion yen investment to mass produce advanced lithium-ion batteries

TOKYO, May 19, 2008 – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., NEC Corporation, and its subsidiary NEC TOKIN Corporation, today announced that its joint-venture company – Automotive Energy Supply Corporation (AESC) – has begun full operations. AESC’s start of operation follows the announcement of the joint-venture in April 2007.

AESC will focus on the development and mass production of advanced lithium-ion batteries for a wide range of automotive applications from hybrids, electric vehicles to fuel-cell vehicles. NEC and NEC TOKIN bring their expertise in cell-technology and electrode production, while Nissan will contribute from its long experience in real-world vehicle application.

May 13, 2008 -- The new look of the hood on the 2007 Nissan 350Z has a Z-themed retro-styled power dome. Under the hood there is an updated version of the car’s 3.5 liter V6 engine which includes a higher rev limit and compression ratio. A twin ram-air intake and variable exhaust camshaft timing are also updated features of this engine.
