The new Ford Puma ST
It has the Fiesta ST engine: 200 horsepower and it is the first SUV Ford Performance manufactured in Europe
The Ford Puma ST 2021 is the entry ticket to the SUV segment of the Ford Performance seal, which for the first time makes its debut in a vehicle of these characteristics. It is very closely related to the Fiesta ST. The 2021 Puma ST equips the Fiesta ST’s 200-horsepower turbocharged three-cylinder engine. It manages to squeeze more torque out of it to try and compensate for the difference in weight, and to a certain extent it succeeds because at 0-100 acceleration the SUV is only 0.2 seconds slower than its sibling.
Brakes are a bit beefier than normal Pumas and enclosed by 19-inch alloys, with a selection of drive modes – Eco, Normal, Sport and Track. The 2021 Ford Puma ST sports a more aggressive aesthetic than existing versions of the compact SUV.
The look of the regular Puma is toughened up courtesy of an ST-specific styling pack. Cosmetic changes include a new grille and ST badges, a splitter at the front and diffuser and wing at the back, with the interior adding Recaros, ST steering wheel and 12.3 inch instrument display.
Standard has wireless charging, heated windshield with rain sensor and parking sensors. The infotainment system is controlled via an 8-inch touchscreen and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
