DACIA Duster 3 will be the most expensive SUV in the brand’s history
Dacia management has officially confirmed that the third-generation Duster will be the most expensive SUV in the brand’s history. The new starting price will exceed 18,000 euros.
Xavier Martinet, the brand’s marketing director, revealed that “The next Dacia Duster will be the most expensive SUV ever marketed by Dacia”. Although the final price has not yet been set, informal sources linked to the manufacturer suggest that Dacia will offer its new model for less than 20,000 euros. Dacia is fully aware that the next generation of the Duster will be a major success, and preparations are underway to optimize the plant’s production capacity. The launch of the third-generation Duster is scheduled for autumn.
Since its introduction in 2011, the Duster has become one of Dacia’s global icons. The Duster entered the scene with an undeniable advantage: unbeatable value for money.
At the time, it was a low-cost model, with simple but robust finishes, just like the rest of the brand’s products back then. In 2018, the second generation made its debut, already offering a more polished design and finishes, as well as more modern engines. This version, which remains available, is based on an evolution of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance’s B0 platform, also used for the Renault Arkana.
If things continue as planned, we should see the third-generation Duster by the end of 2025. However, given the project’s current state of progress, it’s not out of the question that the usual deadlines, which have until now been strictly adhered to, could be considerably reduced, and that its presentation could take place some time in 2024.
