Renault unveils its new compact family SUV in the C segment

The new Renault Symbioz expands the French manufacturer’s range of complementary vehicles to meet every need.
True to Renault’s new design language, Symbioz combines driving pleasure, space and low fuel consumption thanks to the E-Tech full hybrid 145 engine.
Another SUV in Renault’s catalogue
The Symbioz vehicle was unveiled in February 2024. The name immediately refers to the French word ‘symbiose’, derived from the ancient Greek symbiosis, which could be interpreted as ‘living together in harmony’. For the moment, however, the model has not yet been presented in full. Only two photos have been unveiled, revealing the overall lines of the future SUV.
In keeping with Renault’s aesthetic approach, Symbioz boasts a modern, elegant design. Its fluid, harmonious lines suggest a compact SUV designed for families. The front grille proudly bears the Renault logo, while the rear is distinguished by a strip of light characteristic of the latest models from Renault. The interior is no slouch either, offering a refined, user-friendly ambience that makes the most of the space available in the cabin.
A hybrid powertrain for the Renault Symbioz
Renault has chosen a hybrid engine for its Symbioz model. This engine makes it possible to reduce fuel consumption and pollutant emissions without sacrificing the vehicle’s performance. Renault’s new family car is powered by the E-Tech full hybrid 145 engine already found on the Clio 5, which combines a combustion engine with an electric motor to maximise energy efficiency and minimise environmental impact.
The brand thus offers a range of complementary vehicles in the C segment in Europe with electric or hybrid models:
Mégane E-Tech electric: a high-tech compact saloon measuring 4.20 metres;
Scenic E-Tech, the new 4.47-metre electric family car;
Symbioz E-Tech full hybrid: a compact family SUV measuring 4.41 metres;
Austral, a premium high-tech SUV measuring 4.51 metres;
Arkana, a dynamic coupé SUV measuring 4.56 metres.
