Another premiere from Los Angeles car show came from Lincoln, a brand that belongs to Ford giant and which produces only premium class cars. The American company presented the updated MKX crossover, but it also received a new name on this occasion -Nautilus.

This update brought the crossover a new face, the front side being radically modified. The new elements are represented by the radiator grille (made in the style of Continental and Navigator), the LED optical blocks, the bumper and even the hood with several lines that emerge in relief.

On the other side, in the back of the car only the bumper got a minor update and the rear taillights received last generation LED components.

The first impression created is that this “new” Lincoln Nautilus does not look bad and can be categorized as a competitor for the recently introduced Infiniti QX50.

Passing into the passenger compartment, there appeared a new steering wheel and a 12.3-inch digital dashboard. The Nautilus (formerly MKX) stands out through the lack of a lever for the automatic gearbox, replaced by buttons located on the center console, near the steering wheel (interesting!). Also, in a Lincoln Nautilus you can find a Revel audio system with 13 or 19 speakers, electrically adjustable seats in 22 positions with massage function, ventilation and heating, SYNC 3 multimedia system with Apple CarPlay support and Android Auto.

The new Lincoln Nautilus can be ordered in a top level of equipment called Black Label, which gives customers access to extra features and high-quality materials. At the same time, those who choose such a car will have more service benefits, laundry and restaurants.

Under the hood, only two engines, both gasoline and both coupled to eight-speed transmissions, can be fitted. The first one has a volume of 2.0 liters and produces 248 hp, and the second 2.7 liters and 339 hp (replaces the former naturally aspirated V6 unit 3.7 liters with 307 hp). Traction can be on the front axle or integral.

The car is also equipped with a full package of safety / assistance systems including: adaptive cruise control, automatic braking system, lane keeping system, pedestrian detection system, dead angle monitoring, parking assistant and other.
