Volkswagen has introduced the accessible version of Amarok: 3.0-litre diesel engine and 163HP with manual gearbox
Volkswagen Amarok can be bought in some European markets with its new version of 163 horsepower and a 3.0-litre diesel engine, which currently is available only for 204 Hp and 224 Hp.
Volkswagen Amarok is available on the European market with a 3.0-litre diesel engine offered in the 204 horsepower and 224 horsepower versions, since the launch of its latest facelifted model last spring.
At that time, the German automaker stated that the 3.0-litre V6 unit will be available in a more accessible version of 163 horsepower, but up until now it could not been ordered.
Nonetheless, the Caradisiac publication has announced that Amarok can be ordered also with its 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine version of 163 horsepower, at least on the French market. The new engine version can be coupled with a manual six-speed gearbox, while the all-wheel drive is also available. Furthermore, the new engine comes only as for standard equipment.
By this decision, practically, Volkswagen has managed to provide an Amarok at a more affordable price than current versions. For example, the 3.0-litre engine version with 204 horsepower and torque of 500 Nm prices in Romania start at over 37.000 Euros for the Comfortline equipment version. However, the price can easily arrive at 51.000 Euros in the 3.0-litre V6 engine and 224 horsepower version, and in the Aventura version.
