The 250-hp engine is available on the sedan and hatchback models, and the Premium Plus trim level adds some additional equipment.

The first units will arive at dealers at the end of the year. For now, the Mazda 3 2.5 Turbo will be available only in North and Central America. The starting price is around $31,000 for the sedan model and ranges up to $34,695 in its fully loaded Premium Plus trim level.

According to Mazda US, the Mazda3 2.5. “awaits with the motor running”. With up to 250 hp and up to 320 lb-ft of torque, coupled with  the car maker’s own i-Activ AWD, this hatchback responds instantly and smoothly to every urge and impulse. It comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. i-Activ AWD uses data from the car’s g-sensors to calculate how weight is shifting from tire to tire as you drive and sends torque to the tires that can generate the most grip in every instant, helping improve performance in any weather.

The 3 continues to be one of the most refined and athletic compact cars on sale today, with high-tech infotainment and driver-assistance features that provide a class-above experience.

Interior and comfort

Mazda designed the 3’s cabin with premium materials. Buyers can outfit either body style with a slew of desirable features, but the best ones are tied into the trim-level hierarchy. For instance, a head-up display, heated front seats, and leather upholstery are all reserved for the topmost trims. Still, the 3 sedan and hatchback have supportive seats and comfortable passenger accommodations.
