This new all-electric SUV from the German company has been confirmed for production in 2021.

Audi has revealed another Q4 concept, previewing a SUV-coupe body style, set to be called the Q4 e-tron Sportback. There’s no surprise, as the concept version was presented to the public during the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.

Its exterior dimensions put it closer to the Q5 model. The Sportback is all-but-identical, dimensionally, to its SUV sibling. The Q4 e-tron and the Sportback are set to use the same powertrain. Moreover, both are built on the Volkswagen Group MEB platform, which was specifically developed for electric vehicles.

Placed on each axle, the two electric motors  make it possible to benefit from quattro all-wheel drive. It is the rear unit which is generally preferred, with a power of 150 kW and 310 N.m of torque. At the front, the electric motor develops 75 kW and delivers 150 N.m of torque.

Experts have noticed two special things regarding the outline: that the Audi Q4 E-Tron Sportback shows the Sleeker Side of the Concept SUV and that Audi’s Q4 E-Tron Concept gets spunky with a new roofline. This is due to exterior designer, Amar Kaya.

Inside, everything is taken from the 2019 Q4 e-tron concept, right down to the light colors of the seats and the dashboard. On it, there are two screens : one allows to display the counters, while the other manages the multimedia part.

The production version of this coupe SUV will have a range displayed at more than 450 km.

According to Audi, the production version of the Q4 E-Tron Sportback will go on sale in 2021. No price has been set; however, sources close to Audi estimate a base price of €40,000 in Europe, or USD 45.000.
