These aeronautical-themed car is a symbol of nostalgia over the departed but never forgotten Concorde aircraft, the fastest passenger plane in the world, that last flew in 2003. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Concorde’s first flight, Aston Martin has created a commemorative version of the DBS Superleggera coupe. It is a celebration of airspeed. Only 10 cars will be produced, and they will be exclusively sold through Aston Martin’s dealership in Bristol, England, close to the Filton factory that built the British examples of the famous plane.
Dressed in white, the DBS Superleggera Concorde has a 5.2-liter V12 engine that holds steady at 710 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. However, this new Aston Martin has a unique color scheme and cosmetic details, but no more power : DBS Concorde will be capable of 211 mph. Compared to the average vehicle, the car’s 3.4-second 0-62mph time and 211mph top speed put it in the upper segment of performance road cars. The side strakes of the coupe are milled from solid aluminium and the black carbonfibre roof has a Concorde silhouette.
