Lotus Exige Cup 430: the British sports car generates 436 horsepower and a top speed of 290 km/h
Lotus revealed the Exige Cup 430, a two-seater sports car, with a supercharged 3.5 litre V6 engine and 436 horsepower, capable of reaching a maximum speed of 290 kilometers per hour.
In June, the Chinese from Geely has bought the British sports car manufacturer Lotus, with the promise to accelerate the development of new technologies and launching of new super cars. This investment relaunched the Lotus brand, which currently has plans to launch new models by 2021.
These include among others the Lotus Exige Cup 430, a two-seater sports car, with a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine generating 436 horsepower, connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
With 55 horsepower added than its predecessor Exige Cup 380, the new British version features a 440 Nm of torque which allows the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 290 km/h.
“This is the car that we have always wanted to build, and I am sure that all Lotus enthusiasts will be delighted with the end product.” Jean-Marc Gales, CEO of Group Lotus plc said.
The new car is already on sale in the UK, Germany, France or Italy, for approximately 130.000 Euros.
