May 15, 2008 -- 47 Volvo P1800 cars from German and Swiss Volvo Owner clubs visit Sweden and Volvo Car Corporation in connection with the clubs' 30 year anniversary. An impressive sight.
Historical Volvo P1800 visit to Sweden
The German Volvo P1800 IG and the Swiss Volvo-Sport Club P1800 are both celebrating their anniversary with a week's visit to Sweden. The group consists of 38 cars from Germany and 9 from Switzerland. The different Volvos are; 35 ES, 11 P/S/E and an Amazon GT, altogether 95 club members. The troop arrived with the ferry to Göteborg habour in the beginning of the week and will tour western Sweden for a couple of days.
Novelis Welcomes ‘GO 60’ Expedition to Switzerland
SIERRE, Switzerland, May 8, 2008 — Novelis, the global leader in aluminium rolling and can recycling, today welcomed a group of Land Rover Club Members who are passing through Sierre on a unique “GO 60” charity expedition. Sierre is home to a large Novelis manufacturing plant.
The team of 11 adventurers is en route from London to Singapore in a fleet of Land Rover Discovery 3 and Defender vehicles, the plan being to cover the 17,183 mile trip in 60 days. With the aim of raising £250,000 for the British Red Cross to celebrate Land Rover’s 60th anniversary, the project is a most worthwhile venture.

Christian Muschal has to resign for health reasons
2/29/2008, Stuttgart -- On May 1, 2008 Thomas Lamperstorfer (42) is taking on the management of Porsche Switzerland, a one hundred per cent subsidiary of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart. Lamperstorfer has fulfilled various managerial functions at Porsche AG over the past 15 years. Most recently he has been responsible for works car sales and the vehicle fleet.
Christian Muschal had been working successfully on building up the Swiss subsidiary since Porsche Switzerland was founded in August 2007. He has to give up the position of managing director for health reasons. Muschal will now be undertaking special projects at
Porsche AG in sales and marketing.

A1 Team Germany Wins as China Takes Home Race Podium
16 December 2007, Zhuhai, China - Pole sitter A1 Team Germany's Michael Ammermüller raced to his first A1GP victory in this morning's inaugural Zhuhai Sprint race at round four of the 2007/08 A1GP World Cup of Motorsport season while China's CongFu Cheng put in an incredible performance on home soil, taking a fantastic home race podium.
German rookie Ammermüller dominated the race from lights to flag, holding off Neel Jani to cross the line just over half a second ahead of title leader Switzerland who finished second. The packed grandstand roared when home nation China's CongFu Cheng made a sensational move past Ireland's Adam Carroll on lap 10 to grab third place. The 23-year-old from Beijing went on to take the first podium finish of his career and China's first of the season.

15 December 2007, Zhuhai, China - Defending champion A1 Team Germany qualified in pole position for tomorrow morning's Sprint race at the inaugural Huatai A1GP Zhuhai, China while the Feature race will be led off the grid by current championship leader Switzerland.
