General Motors Adds 12-Month/12,000-Mile Bumper-to- Bumper Warranty on GM Certified Used Vehicles and Saturn CPO Vehicles
Program Enhancements Provide Buyers Added Value, Peace of Mind Assurances
DETROIT, 2008-08-19 - General Motors (GM) today announced that it will provide consumers with a fully transferable 12-month/12,000-mile* "bumper-to-bumper" warranty with no deductible on all GM Certified Used Vehicles and all Saturn Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles sold in the United States. The announcement was made by Brian McVeigh, general manager, GM Fleet and Commercial Operations, and Jamie Hresko, GM North America vice president of quality.
GM also announced it has extended the age and mileage eligibility standards for GM Certified Used Vehicles and Saturn Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles to include models six years old or newer, with up to 75,000 miles.

DETROIT, 2008-07-01 – General Motors Corp. (NYSE: GM) today announced June sales results, highlighted by an 8 percent rise in retail car sales and continued strong performance in crossovers. Despite the significant decline of industry market volume and the limited availability of some of GM’s most popular models, GM dealers in the United States delivered 265,937 vehicles in June, down 8 percent (18.5 percent unadjusted). Truck sales declined 6 percent.

New Appointments at General Motors Build GM Brand Channel Alignment

The moves streamline the organization by combining or eliminating job functions. This will help the brands better deliver world-class products to customers, and build value for GM and its dealers.
The following appointments are effective July 1st; however these individuals will begin to transition into their new roles immediately.

Cadillac Escalade Adds FlexFuel Capability for 2009
ATLANTA, 2008-06-06 – All models of the 2009 Cadillac Escalade will be able to run on either ordinary gasoline or E85 ethanol, or any combination of the two, General Motors announced Friday. And customers will have the fueling choice at no additional cost.
The Cadillac Escalade, Cadillac Escalade EXT and Cadillac Escalade ESV as well as the GMC Denali, join the previously announced 2009 Chevrolet HHR, Buick Lucerne and Hummer H2 and Hummer H2 SUT as additions to GM’s industry-leading flex-fuel lineup .
Buick Open Tiger Woods Golf Clinic to Take Place at Comerica Park June 24
DETROIT, 2008-05-19 -- The Buick Open, Michigan's only PGA Tour event, will host a unique golf clinic featuring Tiger Woods at Comerica Park on Tuesday, June 24. The clinic, scheduled from 3-4 p.m., marks the first time that Woods will conduct a golf clinic in a ballpark.
