Nitrogen Oxides (NOx)
Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) - A pollutant resulting from the combustion process of the air-fuel mixture in an internal combustion engine (ICE) that creates endothermic reactions between atmospheric nitrogen and oxygen in the flame that yields various oxides of nitrogen. In some large cities the amount of nitrogen oxides emitted into the atmosphere can be very high.
