The Peugeot RCZ, a sporty and compact 2+2 Coupé, is designed to become an exclusive vehicle, something special, exuding a real air of excitement:

– its name, RCZ, symbolises its exclusive position in relation to the Peugeot range: it is the specialist car not to use the numbering system with a central or double zero;
– illustrating the Marque’s “new identity”, the RCZ

displays on its body the new, redesigned Lion. The RCZ is aimed at the modern customer, particularly demanding and well informed when it comes to cars, who looks to stand out… and is ready to succumb to automotive temptation. As such, the RCZ is the first exclusive vehicle in the Peugeot range and will be followed by other exclusive models in the years to come, all distinctive, with a specific identity, building on the strong personality and the promise of new motoring enjoyment.

The first stage of the RCZ project began in September 2007, at the Frankfurt Motor Show when Peugeot unveiled a concept car which excited all those that saw it, born of the passion and expertise of Peugeot’s design and engineering teams. The decision to commit it for series production was taken shortly afterwards and announced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2008.

However making this dream a reality called for real determination, boldness and huge inventiveness qualities the Peugeot brand has in abundance as its rich past history can testify. Stylists and engineers began designing a specifi cation to match the sensations evoked by the car’s exterior appearance.

While the primary intention was to conserve the stylistic blueprint of the concept, despite the challenge of incorporating the constraints inherent in its production and commercialisation, the challenge went far beyond this. Ambitious targets were set in terms of driveability and production quality to give it an extremely strong, specifi c identity.

Another challenge was to develop the RCZ in a particularly short time span. To do this, the vehicle was assembled at a production centre specialising in exclusive vehicles built in small volume production runs at the Magna Steyr plant in Graz, Austria. As a result, just two years after the decision was made to go ahead with its development, the RCZ will be available early in the Spring of 2010. At the same time buyers quick off the mark to reserve the first available 200 “Limited Edition” RCZ models, which were sold out in less than 48 hours at last September’s Frankfurt Motor Show, will take delivery of their new RCZ. The RCZ was indeed born under the sign of exclusivity, strong design and emotion…

Athletic, elegant and aerodynamic, the style of the RCZ offers a new experience and energy derived from the original architecture. The sensuality of the car’s double-bubble roof and rear windscreen, combine with its two aluminium arches to produce its most distinctive features.


An ideal driving position, a fluid and streamlined fascia panel, traditional and high-tech materials… the passenger compartment of the RCZ instantly immerses the driver in an elite, sporting ambience. The RCZ is also practical, offering two occasional rear seats whose backrests can be folded to open up a boot with a generous capacity in its category (from 384 to 760 litres).


With its reduced weight, finely honed aerodynamics and modern engine technologies, the RCZ offers an innovative blend of performance and environmental friendliness. The range of engines available:

– at the time of launch:

1.6 litre THP 115 kW (156 bhp) Euro 5, 240 Nm, 6-speed manual gearbox – CO2: 155 g/km,
2.0 litre HDi FAP 120 kW (163 bhp) Euro 5, 340 Nm, 6-speed manual gearbox – CO2: 139 g/km;

– from the Summer:

1.6 litre THP 115 kW (156 bhp) Euro 5, 240 Nm, 6-speed automatic gearbox – CO2: 168 g/km,
1.6 litre THP 147 kW (200 bhp) Euro 5, 275 Nm, 6-speed manual gearbox – CO2: 159 g/km.

The THP 147 kW (200 bhp) engine is new and – a world first on a 4 cylinder engine – featuring unique technologies allowing it to attain a very high level of efficiency, both in terms of performance, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Taking this philosophy further, the study of an RCZ powered by HYbrid4 technology will be shown on the stand at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. With this innovation, the Sports Coupé would offer low CO2 emissions of around 95 g/km of CO2, while benefiting from a potential 147 kW (200 bhp) and four-wheel-drive.

Expressing all of Peugeot’s expertise in terms of road holding, the RCZ provides a thrilling experience with precision and driveability, creating a sense of real excitement and occasion for the driver. The RCZ benefits from a strong base – that of the “platform 2” architecture (MacPherson type front suspension, rear suspension with deformable crossmember). It also has a particularly low ride height and centre of gravity, wider tracks and generous wheel dimensions, (18” or 19” diameter). Lastly, the RCZ can be specifi ed with the THP 147 kW (200 bhp) engine. Uniquely to this version, the front suspension incorporates a special lower anti-collision bar to give the car even livelier and more agile handling response, while guaranteeing exceptional stability.


To match its dynamic, exclusive positioning, and in addition to its stylish and mechanical innovations, the RCZ comes equipped with sophisticated equipment and driving aids to ensure both peace of mind and safety while driving: intelligent traction control as standard with ESP, hill start assist (as standard), WIP Com 3D (top of the range multimedia system), directional bi-Xenon headlamps, etc.

So that customers can transform their car into a unique extension of their personal preferences, the RCZ can be specified in line with the car’s exclusive character: carbon roof, arches of different colours, a wide range of alloy wheel designs, etc.

The RCZ benefits from a high level of secondary safety with an optimised structure including three force channels at the front, efficient means of restraint, an automatically activated bonnet… Peugeot also intends to maintain its leadership in terms of tertiary safety. For example in 2010 the Marque will be deploying, at no extra cost and throughout the RCZ range – in a world fi rst – services including Peugeot Connect SOS (emergency call) due in particular to the adoption of a “localised communication unit” system.

Sculptural, dynamic and elegant, the RCZ style offers new levels of desirability that is both harmonious and vigorous. The double-bubble roof and rear window are a technical engineering achievement and also the stylistic signature of a car in which every detail has been finished to the highest quality. Visually, the windscreen, black roof and dark-tinted rear windscreen create a sense of continuity richly defined by the two aluminium arches. From the side, the “step-down” at the door level creates an original link between the car’s plunging front aspect and its muscular rear. Another distinctive feature is its wide aluminium bonnet which includes the front wings and further emphasises the RCZ’s width. The feline front aspect, characteristic throughout of the present range of Peugeot cars, the muscular contours of the wings housing large wheels, the active rear spoiler and ruby rear lights divided by a LED crystal trim… give the an appearance that combines sensuality and power, technology and distinction.


The proportions of the vehicle (at height 1.36 m), the sculpted lines of the body and the double-bubble roof line are favourable to air flow, giving the car optimal aerodynamics. Despite large 18” wheels and a wider stance, the RCZ has a Cx of 0.32 and an excellent SCx of 0.67. The adjustable active rear spoiler also contributes to this aerodynamic efficiency: it deploys in two positions, according to the speed of the car, to ensure an ideal balance between fuel consumption and road holding. The first position (19°) opens at more than 85 kph (53 mph) and folds back below 55 kph (34 mph), while the second position (34°) is activated at speeds in excess of 155 kph (96 mph) returning to position 1 at 145 kph (90 mph). Note; drivers can choose to activate the rear spoiler manually to position 2 by pressing the button on the centre console.

The RCZ uses the much-applauded “Platform 2” which is distinguished by its high torsional rigidity and build-quality, which benefits handling, ride and excellent acoustic and reduced vibration properties. This platform is a versatile design, and other Peugeot vehicles that have evolved from “Platform 2” include the

308 Hatchback, 308 SW (using the longer wheelbase spec), 308 CC (Cabriolet Coupé), 3008 crossover, 5008 Compact MPV (also with longer wheelbase)… and now as a sports coupé, this platform has wide adaptability for the choice of body style.

The interior of the RCZ instantly places the driver in a plush, stylish, sporting, high-quality driving environment. The seating has a lower driving position – ideal to enjoy the driving qualities of the RCZ: wraparound seats feature integral head-restraints and all controls are within easy reach. The RCZ will feature from the summer of 2010 a “Sport Pack” (available as standard with the 1.6 litre THP 200 engine) and including a smaller steering wheel combined with a shorter gear lever and the Sound System for petrol engines.

The sleek and streamlined lines of the dashboard design slopes gently, reminiscent of recent Peugeot models, and fits perfectly into the distinctive ambience of this coupé. The use of high-quality materials combine well with the elegant interior forms for a desirable sporting environment.

In full view of the driver, is the clock at the centre of the dashboard, the background of the instrument panel dials are manufactured from pressed metal; the inscriptions are photo-cut and beautifully back-lit. The dashboard in RCZ is covered in its entirety with a soft, technical material with an innovative texture. Customers can also specify, in a range of colours, a Nappa full leather trim (a thick, luxurious leather, fine-grained and smooth). On versions with leather trim, the new Lion is embossed at the neck of both front seats.

The interior also benefits from top-of-the-range acoustic comfort. Due in particular to excellent rigidity which prevents the body from resonating with uneven road surfaces, the driver can derive maximum enjoyment from the car’s quiet operation, supplemented by the audio system, or the sound of petrol engines equipped with the Sound System (see “Engineering emotion”)


The RCZ interior also offers a high degree of versatility to cope with any number of situations.

For the long weekends away, for example, its boot offers a capacity of 384 litres (liquid equivalent, 321 dm3 according to the VDA standard) as well as storage spaces under the floor (of more than 30 litres of extra capacity). Additional volume is provided by folding backrests on the rear seats, taking the car’s maximum storage capacity to 760 litres (liquid equivalent of 639 dm3 VDA). Lastly, the RCZ features two occasional seats, sharply contoured, made even more amenable by the double-bubble roof and rear window which provides extra headroom capacity for the rear passengers. Here, aesthetic beauty combines with practicality…

Three engines of choice are available under the expansive bonnet of the RCZ. These engines are effi cient in every sense of the word: generous torque and power output, economical, with low CO2 emissions and fully compliant with the Euro 5 standard. This has been achieved by the attention given to enhancing the car’s aerodynamics and reducing vehicle weight (from 1,275 kg, unladen). The environmental objectives lie at the heart of the project’s key priorities, providing for a vehicle in this segment, that is both modern and responsible… pending the arrival of a HYbrid4 version in 2012.


This new high-performance engine (due for introduction in the Summer of 2010) reflects the quintessential features of the RCZ’s chassis. With its maximum torque of 275 Nm (from 1,700 rpm and up to 4,500 rpm) and its maximum power of 147 kW/200 bhp (from 5,500 to 6,800 rpm), the RCZ enjoys good acceleration from a standstill and in-gear is of the highest order (80 to 120 kph/ 50 – 75 mph in 6.5 s in 5th gear; 0 to 100 kph/0 – 62 mph in 7.6 s…) while its fuel economy is 6.9 litres/100 km/

43.4 mpg in the combined cycle (with 159 g/km of CO2). To achieve these results, this 1,598 cm3 four-cylinder engine combines – in a world first – all of the most recent technologies, including THP and VTi:

– a Twin-Scroll turbocharger for performance and instantaneous response at very low engine speeds;
– direct petrol injection ensuring optimal fuel consumption strategies;
– …and, here, variable lift of the intake valves coupled with dephasers on the intake and exhaust camshafts (VTi technology, Variable valve and Timing injection), for controlled fuel economy and CO2 emissions.

Sound System technology

The “engine melody” of the 1.6 litre THP 147 kW/200 bhp is also particularly refined, due to special development of its acoustics. Sound System technology (also available with the Sport Pack option on the 1.6 litre THP 115 kW/156 bhp) will in effect make it possible to deliver different harmonics according to the rate of acceleration. Like a real musical instrument, a vibrating membrane is activated a little time after drive-off, so the sound which is controlled and amplified by an acoustic duct, produces an enhanced “tune” over long distances.


This turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine achieves a remarkable synthesis of performance (240 Nm from 1,400 to 4,500 rpm, 115 kW/156 bhp at 5,800 rpm) and fuel economy (6.7 litres/100 km/43.1 mpg; and 155 g/km of CO2 with the 6-speed manual gearbox).

A new 6-speed automatic gearbox: the AT6

The 1.6 litre THP 115 kW/156 bhp engine will also be available from the Summer of 2010 with the new 6-speed sequential automatic gearbox. This gearbox strengthens the distinctive character of the RCZ by offering the ideal blend of driveability and fuel economy.

The AT6 was developed by the company Aisin AW according to specifications set by the Company. It features technologies that enable it to reduce fuel consumption and optimise CO2 emissions (approximately - 10 g compared to a previous generation gearbox): optimisation of the torque converter, reducing friction losses due to numerous features (reduced-drag clutch disc, etc.). Indeed everything has been designed to improve the effi ciency of the transmission. This allows the RCZ coupled with this automatic gearbox to achieve fuel economy of

7.3 litres/100 km/38.6 mpg with 168 g/km of CO2. Similarly, the quality and speed of gear changes (smooth, synchronised and responsive) have been fine-tuned: adoption of a direct-control hydraulic block, an electronic strategy that optimises rapid multiple downshifts, etc. Two driving modes are possible; one automatic, for smooth, tranquil, stress-free driving, which adapts to the driver’s driving style, the other more active and responsive thanks to the sequential control.


With a capacity of 1,997 cm3, this engine, which fi rst appeared in 2009, develops a maximum power of 120 kW/163 bhp at 3,750 rpm and a generous maximum torque of 340 Nm, available from 2,000 to 3,000 rpm. To obtain this level of performance, it features a new-generation ECCS combustion chamber (Extreme Conventional Combustion System), a low-inertia, variable-geometry turbocharger, a high-pressure pump allowing a pressure of 2,000 bar in the common rail, and solenoid injectors with eight apertures. This engine exploits to the full the RCZ’s road holding capabilities while limiting its fuel consumption to just 5.3 litres/100 km/47.7 mpg in the combined cycle, with CO2 emissions of 139 g/km. Note that the RCZ 2.0 litre HDi FAP and 1.6 litre THP 115 kW engines are equipped with the Gear Shift Indicator. This device, which meets future regulations, indicates to the driver visually the best moment to change gear in order to optimise fuel economy and CO2 emissions.


Endorsing the exclusive, modern, dynamic and environmentally-friendly character of the entire RCZ range, the prototype of a version powered by HYbrid4 technology was unveiled at the last Frankfurt Motor Show. This prototype is based on the same power train as the HYbrid4 3008 which will be launched in the Spring of 2011: a 2.0 litre HDi FAP 120 kW (163 bhp) engine at the front and a 27 kW (37 bhp) electric motor at the rear. This refl ects Peugeot’s determination to offer HYbrid4 technology on a number of vehicles in its range, a development made possible thanks to its technical adaptability. Such vehicles can be of any type (crossover, coupé, etc.), derived from different platforms, but all sharing one main characteristic: renewed driving pleasure.

A HYbrid4 RCZ would therefore offer:

– a level of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions unheard of to date in the world of sports vehicles: 3.7 litres/100 km/76.3 mpg or 95 g/km of CO2, proof that sports performance and reason are no longer incompatible notions;

– a dynamism appropriate to the vehicle’s positioning and the expectations of its customer base offering a remarkable level of performance (a potential cumulative power of 147 kW (200 bhp), maximum torque levels of 300 Nm at the front and 200 Nm at the rear);
– four-wheel-drive, for added peace of mind, for safety and driveability.

The well acknowledged passion that connects every Peugeot driver with the road comes into its own with the RCZ. Based on Peugeot’s expertise in this area the road holding is assured, with a “fi rmly planted on the road” style. The aim of the RCZ is to achieve the epitome of driving pleasure being dynamic, with efficient driveability and the stability of good road holding.


Structurally, the RCZ has excellent torsional rigidity:

0.69 mrd under a torque of 100 daNm. This rigidity contributes to the vehicle’s excellent vibration damping and ensures optimal performance of the suspension. On this point, the RCZ benefits from the efficient suspension design derived from platform 2. For example, the front suspension is the MacPherson type with drop link anti-roll bar, ensuring rigorous road holding and a good level of responsiveness. The rear suspension comprises a deformable crossmember, two arms and an integral anti-roll bar.

Its design combines compactness with excellent rigidity. Building on this basic efficiency, the RCZ has a low ride height and a low centre of gravity compared to a regular hatchback. In addition, the RCZ is wider than a hatchback (+ 30 mm) with wider front and rear tracks (+ 44 mm and + 63 mm). The suspension is therefore adapted accordingly (specificdesign of the front wishbones, their articulation, etc.), as are the dampers (increased diameter of rods and upper bearings, specific damping patterns) to ensure more stiffness, more efficiency and more comfort.

The generous size and width of the tyres accentuate even more the precise steering and stability of the RCZ at all times, and is available with either 18” (235x45 R18W) or 19” (235x40 R19W) tyres.

Lastly, the active rear spoiler of the RCZ (see “Exterior emotion/Optimised aerodynamics”) guarantees impeccable stability at high speeds. Deploying at 34(38.5)° at speeds of more than 155 kph/96 mph, it improves the aerodynamic performance, handling and stability of the vehicle.

Special feature of the 147 kW (200 bhp) engine

When the RCZ is powered by the new 1.6 litre THP 147 kW (200 bhp) engine, the front axle comprises special hub carriers, larger in diameter, derived from platform 3 (407). In addition, it incorporates a lower separation rod. These characteristics give the car even livelier and more agile road holding while ensuring driver confidence with precision and stability.


In keeping with Peugeot’s recognised knowledge in this field, the steering ensures optimal precision and is highly responsive, factors underpinning the car’s excellent driveability. The power-assisted rack and pinion steering is controlled by a hydraulic electro-pump unit (GEP) with an output of 650 W, which varies according to vehicle speed, the speed of rotation of the steering wheel and the temperature of the power steering fluid. This allows for continuous adaptation of the power supplied and facilitates manoeuvres at low speed.


To ensure maximum braking efficiency, both in terms of power and endurance, the car is equipped with generously dimensioned ventilated discs: a diameter of 302 mm and a thickness of 26 mm, and for the

1.6 litre THP 147 kW/200 bhp (and 2.0 litre HDi FAP with 19” tyres), 340x30 mm discs. The rear system is also generously dimensioned with 290x12 mm brake discs, again new on this platform (as are the rear hubs and bearings).

ESP, fitted as standard, includes dynamic stability control (DSC), electronic brake force distribution (EBFD), emergency brake assist (EBA) and also intelligent traction control and Hill Assist (see “Technological Emotion”). The DSC, EBFD and EBA functions can be disconnected simultaneously (ESP Off) to allow demanding and experienced drivers to fully enjoy the car’s capacities.

The RCZ, a fusion of innovation on account of its architecture and its style (double-bubble roofline, arches), its materials (aluminium, high-strength steel, etc.) and its engines, also has in terms of equipment a comprehensive offer of driving aids designed to maximise driving pleasure and safety.


Intelligent traction control is a sophisticated traction control system that allows the vehicle to move off and be driven efficiently in adverse road conditions (ice, snow, heavy rain, etc.). Under such conditions it automatically adapts its strategy by enabling more or less slip on each of the front wheels. This function is incorporated with the ESP (as standard) on all vehicles equipped with a manual gearbox.


The RCZ comes as standard with Hill Assist, ensuring greater convenience and safety. Thanks to its continuous dialogue with the ESP, this function holds the vehicle when on a gradient (greater

than 3%) for two seconds after the brake pedal has been released, giving drivers time to move their foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator. This makes manoeuvres safer and greatly facilitates use of the car in forward gear (hill start) and reverse (for example, when parallel parking on a downward gradient).


The WIP (World In Peugeot) telematic range is available on the RCZ with WIP Sound and WIP Com 3D.

WIP Sound and WIP Bluetooth®

The WIP Sound MP3 CD audio system, available as standard on the RCZ, incorporates WIP Bluetooth®. The latter includes a USB connector, a Jack socket, the audio streaming function, as well as a hands-free kit compatible with a Bluetooth® phone.

WIP Com 3D

Featuring up-to-the-minute technologies, WIP Com 3D is a top-of-the-range multimedia system that meets the expectations of customers open to the world of advanced technology and in search of maximum connectivity. The system includes:

– satellite navigation with a large 7” 16/9 high-resolution display (800x480 pixels) with European cartography in 3D (relief, buildings and monuments of main European cities, etc.) stored on its 40 GB hard disc;
– a three-band radio for optimal reception of radio frequencies and RDS-TMC traffi c info;
– an MP3 DVD/CD and WMA player;
– a Bluetooth® connection for the “hands-free phone” function and a GSM module able to support this function after insertion of its SIM card and allowing above all access to Peugeot Connect SOS and Peugeot Connect Assistance (see “Tertiary Safety”);
– a Jukebox function for copying your favourite tracks to the 10 GB hard disc dedicated to the user (up to 180 hours of music);
– a USB connector, an SD card reader, auxiliary RCA audio/video connectors to play audio MP3 and WMA files or to connect any type of digital audio mobile device;

– risk areas monitored by automatic fixed radars (downloadable for 14 countries from the website https://www.wipinforadars.fr). Note that the two aerials (AM/FM1 and FM2) on the WIP Sound and WIP Com 3D are perfectly integrated in the domed rear windscreen of the RCZ. Six speakers are combined with these two systems:

– 2 tweeters located in the upper part of the fascia panel;
– 2 woofers with a diameter of 165 mm located in the front door panels (15 W);
– 2 elliptical 6x9 “wide band” speakers at the rear (15 W).

The JBL™ hi-fi system

A JBL™ option is available for “made-to-measure” high-fidelity sound. It comprises:

– 2 medium hi-fi tweeters incorporated in the fascia panel;
– 2 hi-fi woofers (diameter 165 mm) located in the front door panels;
– 2 coaxial elliptical 6x9 hi-fi speakers in the rear panels;
– a “JBL” 8-track 240 W digital hi-fi amplifi er (located in the boot in the right-hand wheel arch) which independently controls all speakers.

The driver of the RCZ may choose:

– a Comfort Pack including in particular Front Park Assist (Rear Park Assist available as standard);
– a Premium Pack consisting of electrically-adjustable, heated leather seats;
– the Vision Pack with directional bi-Xenon headlamps.

The RCZ gives the new owner a personalisation choice in keeping with the vehicle’s exclusive positioning, allowing every owner the opportunity to transform their car into their ideal specifi cation. Accessible at the time of ordering, the RCZ offers the following personalisation features:

– carbon “double-bubble” roof panel, with satin or brilliant fi nish*;
– Black Chrome or Sable* coloured aluminium arches;
– three types of different body decorations (body transfers in matching shades)*;
– Sport Pack (as standard on the THP 200 bhp) with smaller steering wheel and shorter gear lever*;
– brilliant black bumper grille;
– black brake calipers;
– Perla Nera Black door mirrors;
– Original 18” alloy wheels in two other colours, Dark Grey (two-tone diamanté/dark grey) or Full Pirit Grey (medium grey);
– Sortilège 19” alloy wheels in two other colours, Midnight Silver (dark grey) or Mat Black Onyx (mat black);
– Solstice 19” alloy wheels in two other colours, Anthra Grey (two-tone diamanté/dark grey) or Black Onyx (two-tone diamanté/black).


The exclusive RCZ offers a simple choice of models: one trim level (2 in the UK – Sport & GT)! Buyers can choose their car according to their preferred options, packs and personalisation offers.

The range of colours for the RCZ includes seven shades: Tourmaline Red, Tuanake Blue, Mercury Grey, Shark Grey, Haria Grey, Perla Nera Black and Opal White (plain). Pearlescent White, the colour of the first 200 limited edition cars reserved at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2009, will also be available later, during 2010.

Seven trims are available:

– 1 Tramontane Black Maille Marston cloth;
– 3 exclusive leather trims: Nappa, Tramontane Black, Frisson Grey or Lama (bright leather);
– these three leather trims are available as “full leather” with leather-lined fascia panel, door cappings and armrests in addition to seats.

In addition to excellent primary safety guaranteed by the car’s dynamic qualities (suspension, electronic aids, active rear spoiler, etc), the RCZ benefits from the Group’s extensive experience in terms of secondary and tertiary safety.

At the front, the structure of the RCZ incorporates a triple force channel to absorb maximum energy in the event of a frontal impact. Similarly, the arches, external side members and door stiffeners have been specifi ed to ensure an optimal absorption strategy.

An active bonnet system has been developed to lessen the effects of impact with a pedestrian, without in any way sacrificing the car’s architecture or style (lower ride height, low slung bonnet). When the sensors at the front of the vehicle detect a collision, this pyrotechnic system activates the bonnet hinges, raising the bonnet by up to 55 mm in 0.1 s.

For side impact, door reinforcements, “C” post reinforcements and a heel plate force channel have been designed to afford optimal protection to passengers. At the rear, a beam at the level of the boot sill absorbs impact forces and ensures a good level of repairability.

The RCZ has efficient means of restraint to protect each passenger in the event of an incident:

– 2 adaptive front air bags, with a capacity of 60 litres for the driver and 90 litres for the passenger;
– 2 side air bags (each 10 litres) to protect the chest and pelvis of front passengers;
– 4 three-point seat belts with force limiters (and pretensioners at the front) combined with acoustic and visual fasten seat belt alarms for each seat;
– three-point Isofi x fixtures in the two rear seats to accommodate child seats (a retractable fl ap conceals the third anchorage point behind the head restraints).


In terms of tertiary safety, Peugeot will be deploying in 2010, at no extra cost and throughout the RCZ range,
