For 2010, GMC's Yukon and Yukon XL family of full-size SUVs continues to offer performance, capability and segment-leading fuel economy. Yukon Denali models are distinguished with unique exterior design cues, including a signature honeycomb chrome grille. Denali-exclusive headlamps and taillamps further the jeweled look of these special Yukon models.

* Two new exterior colors: Dark Labyrinth Metallic and Sheer Silver Metallic
* USB connectivity in center console, enabling stored audio files to play through the audio system and battery charging for some handheld devices
* Enhanced battery saver mode
* E85 capability and cam phasing on all 5.3L engines. E85 comprises 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline, reduces greenhouse gas and smog-forming emissions, is domestically produced and helps reduce dependence on petroleum
* 6.2L V-8 on Yukon Denali models equipped with Active Fuel Management, which deactivates cylinders in low-demand conditions to save fuel
* 6.2L engine replaces optional 6.0L engine on Yukon XL
* “Taller” 3.08 axle on Yukon Denali improves fuel economy
* Single-speed transfer case standard on 4WD models; two-speed transfer case optional
* Yukon XFE model with EPA-estimated 15 city / 21 hwy fuel economy

Changes for 2010 that enhance the lineup’s efficiency include variable valve timing on models with the 5.3L engine, as well as Active Fuel Management and a “taller” 3.08 axle ratio on Denali models. Additionally, FlexFuel capability is added to the 5.3L engines.

The Yukon XFE model that was introduced during the 2009 model year returns, offering 21 mpg on the highway. Additional product changes include two new exterior colors, USB ports on the radios and a standard single-speed transfer case on 4WD models. (A two-speed transfer case is optional).
