Efficient performance comes from a 3.6L V-6 with direct injection that helps produce power similar to many V-8 engines and uses regular unleaded gasoline. The Chevrolet Traverse is rated at 288 horsepower (215 kW)* and 270 lb.-ft. of torque (366 Nm)* with dual exhaust (281 hp/210 kW* and 266 lb.-ft./361 Nm* with single exhaust), but delivers better-than-expected fuel economy of 24 mpg on the highway.

Changes for 2010 are limited to a new exterior color, a USB port on the radios and the inclusion of OnStar 8.2. New USB port included with premium radios. Located in the center console, it connects portable music devices to the vehicle’s audio system and charges batteries of some hand-held items.
