710 Gwperi Exported Since Launch

First batch to Africa and Russia

2008-05-27 -- In the midst of May, 270 Gwperi were shipped to Algeria and its surrounding countries from Xingang, Tianjin, China. At the same time, another 286 Gwperi were transported to Russia by railway. Today, 710 Gwperi have been exported since its launching. Hence, the target to launching Gwperi both at home and abroad has been realized.

Gwperi started its markets over China since the mid of March and began export synchronously. This is thanks to its marketing positioning. At the end of last year, the top management of GWM already declared that Gwperi shall be a product complying with international regulations and standards, targeting at the world. GWM attached equal importance to domestic market and global market, which has become its guideline of global strategy.

Both Africa and Russia are important markets for GWM. In these two markets, stable sales and after sales service channels have been well established, such as Russia-based IRITO is GWM’s partner for many years, while Algeria-based GMS is the sole distributor of GWM. Last year, Mr. Abderrahmane, the chairman of GMS attended the launching ceremony of Gwperi and showed great interest in it. After his test driving Gwperi, he told the worker it must be popular in Africa. GMS ordered some samples to test the local market at the end of last year and got good feedback from the local end-users.

Today, Gwperi LHD is able to meet the UN regulations and the related report and certification is under way as well. The all overseas homologation for Gwperi made according to EEC and ECE, covering all countries with European standards requirements, such as Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and so on. The European homologation project consists of more than 40 items covering the whole vehicle as well as spare parts, amongst of them, E-mark certificate for safety belt, tire, glass, rear view mirror, horn and all lamps have obtained. The complete process for Gwperi EU homologation is cooperated with VCA. This kind of achievements is the first time of China’s national brands.
