Integrated into CCC Pathways(R) Estimating Solution version 4.4, the AWE tool will help repairers looking to quickly take insurer-written estimates and put them into an electronic format in order to set the repair process in motion. According to Chris Abraham, Operations Account Manager, Service King, CCC's AWE functionality is saving his staff three-to-four hours a day at each location using the feature.
"Repairers now assume more of the administrative workload associated with claims management, which can mean fewer hours spent repairing vehicles," continued Abraham. "CCC's enhanced AWE tool allows us to reclaim some of that lost time. By eliminating the need to re-key estimates we reduce the chances for human error and are able to get the repair started more quickly, helping us to better serve our customers."
CCC offers the ultimate in flexibility when it comes to AWE. For shops that have an EZNet(R) connection, repairers can now electronically download a replica of the CCC Pathways staff estimate using the unique reference identification number now given to each estimate. Introduced previously, CCC Pathways users can also electronically transfer estimates using email, CDs or a flash drive.
"CCC is constantly looking for ways to help repair facilities improve productivity and reduce cycle time," said Jim Dickens, Senior Vice President, CCC Information Services Inc. "The Auto Workfile Entry tool is a simple solution to an ongoing challenge repairer's face. By automating the transfer of estimate data, repairers can get on with the business of repairing vehicles, while minimizing hours of clerical time."
